Final Reflection
Your Final Consist of a Reflective Essay using any of the questions below. Your essay should be no more than two-three pages in length. Use examples to illustrate your statements and opinions. Be sure to cite any information that comes from the class readings or articles. Three sources have been included below, if you would like more information on writing reflective essays.
If you would like to use a different method to reflect on this semester other than an essay please send me an email with explicit details. The due date for this assignment is May 9th
- Was there any information throughout the semester that you struggled with accepting as credible or valid?
- Discuss a dynamic or challenging learning moment?
- What did you learn about yourself in terms of your racial identity?
- What was the most important or valuable thing you learned personally? (can be applied in your personal life or relationships)
- What is the most important or useful thing you learned professionally? (can be applied in your career)?
- What is something significant from this course that you are looking forward to utilizing while working with a client, patient, customer from African American community?
- Was there any significance around the topic you chose for the Black Social Movement project?
- Discuss how you were impacted by the Black Social Movement project?
- Did you experience any personal or professional development while working with your group members?
- How did you grow as a student during this semester? (Think about what you learned about yourself – your skills, your study habits, your knowledge, your mindset, etc.)
- How does what you learned this semester connect or compliment other classes or with real life?
- How have you developed personally or professionally?
- Was there anything in this course that solidified or altered your career decision?
- What areas or topics do you need to increase your knowledge about to work effectively with the African, African American or, Black population.
- What areas or topics are you curious to learn more about the African, African American or Black population for simply personal reasons?
