The first objective of your plan will be to have your new network “carried” by cable and satellite systems. Your second objective will be to attract subscribers to your new cable network and the accompanying OTT service. As the head of programming for this new network, you must develop and schedule programming for this venture. As the primary purpose of this task is to have your network carried and to attract subscribers for the network and OTT service. it will be up to the concept and the original and/or unique programming to accomplish this task. Your competition consists of all of the actual existing cable, satellite networks, and OTT services, as well as the appropriate broadcast entities.
Again, your specific task is twofold: first, to fully develop the concept for this new cable/satellite network and OTT service – this needs to be a concept directed toward a segment of the population that is not currently being served by any of the existing cable/satellite networks; and, second, to propose original programming plans (this will involve at least 2 one-hour-long weekly series and 2 one-hour-long daily series). For the first part, you will need to include a review and analysis of all existing relevant cable/satellite networks and OTT services. For the latter part, you will need to provide specific descriptions of each of your original series, as well as your specific scheduling plans for all of your programming (i.e., a 7-day, 24-hour schedule grid for the cable network and an availability plan for the OTT service).
