The purpose of this assignment is to create a population-focused education plan to be delivered in the nursing education practicum setting. Remember, the term “population” can refer to patients or other populations such as nursing students.

There are two parts to this assignment. Complete all steps in Part 1 and 2 prior to submission.

Part 1: Identify one population-focused health issue to address at your nursing education practicum site.

This topic should be approved by your preceptor prior to the development of this activity.

Use the information gathered from the population learning needs assessment and annotated bibliography to help you develop the education plan appropriate for the setting.

Develop a one-page population-focused education plan in the form of a handout/brochure to address the population-focused health issue.

Create three learner objectives to address the population-focused health issue. List the three learner objectives on your one-page education plan handout/brochure.

1. Include evidence-based resources on your one-page education plan handout/brochure. You want to include the resources so the population will have future access to these resources.
2. Part 2: Educators frequently administer a survey to obtain feedback from their learners as an evaluation strategy, like the GCU end of-course surveys (EOCS). A survey promotes stakeholder involvement and collaboration.
3. Develop a short survey for your audience to complete following the presentation of your one-page population-focused education plan handout/brochure at your nursing education practicum site. Present the one-page population-focused education plan handout/brochure to your specific audience. Administer the short survey to the audience after presenting your one-page population-focused education plan handout/brochure.

Write a summary to discuss the results and feedback from the audience on the survey.

Support your summary with two or three scholarly resources.
