Intro
For the introduction of this paper, I will be explaining developmental discourse and how it affected many different countries throughout the world, but I will be mostly focusing on its effects on Bolivia.
Defining key terms
Such as development discourse, colonization, class system, indigenous people involved and socioeconomic progress.
I’ll be using many different Southern American scholars to help define these terms Scholars like Costoya, M., Arturo Escobar and Hippert, C. I chose these scholars because I found their research and articles easy to read and understand from a different perspective.
Thesis
Development Discourse is a multifaceted study that has a wide range of diverse theories, actors, and paradigms that help reflect on global progress while challenging conventional notions that we have of development to highlight more of a cultural and inclusivity conversation, With that being said Bolivian government and society is a perfect example to get others involved in the conversation what is developmental discourse and why is it important to know what it is.
Background information
Bolivia is known for its diverse population with more than 36 different indigenous groups with their own culture, language and traditions. throughout the last few years, there has been an increased effort for indigenous representation in the government. Indigenous people in Bolivia have been fighting for decades if not centuries the history of their activism in Bolivia is deeply rooted in a long struggle for political social and economic rights. The indigenous population has faced discrimination marginalization and a lack of political representation in the country all they have fought for mainly was demanding equal rights.in 2006 Bolivia‘s first indigenous president was elected and helped introduce the new constitution that helped indigenous people become recognized by Bolivia. It granted them some political representation and the right to be a part of and make big decisions in the Bolivian government. but even having these milestones these indigenous people still struggle for land rights, protection of the environment, and social economic equality. Indigenous activists and organizations continue to advocate for the rights and interests in the Bolivian society.

Conclusion
For the conclusion I will summarize my thesis statement and the main ideas discussed throughout the paper I will also reflect on the connection between my own life experience with being southern American and Canadian and living in a country with not as much indigenous representation as there should be.
