Communications Question
Purpose: This goal of this assignment is for you to have communication engagement by participating in a research study or evaluating your learning. You will use skills you learned this semester to accomplish this bonus opportunity. You can earn 15 bonus points toward your final grade by completing this assignment.
Task: Select one of the following to complete. Each option will require a time commitment of approximately 60 minutes.
Option 1: Visit the research study website. Links to an external site.Review the available studies. Each study will provide you with an approximate time commitment. Select a study or studies that amount to 60 minutes total to participate in. For example, you could select four 15-minute studies, two 30-minute studies, or one 60-minute study. If the available studies total to less than 60 minutes, complete what is available and you will be eligible to receive full credit. The research studies are conducted by FIU Communication faculty. Your participation will provide you with insight regarding current developments in the field of communication and will contribute to the field of communication by providing faculty with a valuable source of information. Once you complete the study or studies, take a screenshot of the final web page with your name, your class name, and your professor’s name to show successful participation and upload it to the dropbox. You will not earn credit for this assignment unless you have uploaded proof of successful participation.
Option 2: Write a paper, reflecting on what you have learned in this course this semester. Identify the course concept that you find most interesting. Discuss its background material (i.e. definition, description, explanation) and explain why you find it most interesting. Identify its strengths or areas for further development. Explore how you think this concept is applicable in every day life. Your paper should be formatted like an essay with an introduction, thesis statement, conclusion, transitions, etc.
A successful student will:

Upload proof of successful research participation (if completing Option 1).
Upload reflection paper (if completing Option 2).
