This week, you will just review the Athletic Equality Index & the Tucker Center for Research on Girls and Women in Sport’s Women Coaches Report Card. You can choose whatever score card but need 1 scorecard from each website .For the AEI specifically, you will need to go to the “schools” tab to search for specific schools and how they were scored. The purpose of this series of assignment is to reflect on and evaluate the effectiveness of tracking indicators of a sport organization’s investment diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) within sport organizations using a scorecard approach to hold organizations accountable and to further promote DEIB in sport. Additionally, this assignment is an opportunity to envision possible strategies that could further enhance the effectiveness of using scorecards to promote DEIB in sport. Students will review three organizations’ scorecards for promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and tracking longitudinal data about sport organizations’ efforts.
Individual Scorecard Summary & Evaluation (x2)
- For each of the scorecards, provide a one paragraph summary (approximately 125 words) of 1) the purpose of the scorecard, 2) the metrics included in the scorecard, and 3) which organizations receive scores.
- For each of the scorecards, provide a 125-250 word evaluation of:
- Which aspects of the scorecard are informative and effective for assessing an organization’s efforts to promote DEIB? Explain why.
- Which aspects of the scorecard are insufficient? Explain why.
