Fentanyl (Actiq, Duragesic, Sublimaze) Purpose: The purpose of the Medication-Focused Case Study is to perform a deep dive into the selected medication by providing a patient and medication overview, the nursing implications, and to develop an education plan. Objectives: ● ● ● ● Identify demographic data, past health history, medical diagnosis, and two priority nursing hypotheses. Include medication, classification and most indications, recommended dosing guidelines, administration routes, side effects, and contraindications. Discuss 10 or more interventions for administration monitoring and effectiveness of medication Develop a complete pertinent medication teaching plan including learning needs, educational goals, and learning outcomes. Requirements: ● ● ● ● ● Use the Medication-Focused Case Study Rubric for essential criteria The paper should be between 3-5 pages (not including the title page and references). The paper must be typed and conform to APA format. A minimum of three references are required. Create a brochure to use for teaching purposes; you will use the brochure to teach your classmates.
