Final Reflection
Paper Five: Final Reflection
Summary of Assignment
In a carefully crafted short essay, please reflect on a single story from our class this semester and make a case for why your peers should read it. You can draw on personal experiences and comparisons to other stories or narratives (TV Shows, Movies, Plays, Novels etc). You are free to be as creative as possible so long as your essay is coherent and thoughtful. Your goal here is to convince an audience of your peers that they should read the story you are recommending. You can select any kind of criteria you want. Think about what would make your peers want to read it. You’re making an argument. Why should they bother reading it? What can they gain? Why does it matter?
You will be graded on your ability to make a coherent, thoughtful, and well-reasoned case. This
organization. In other words, you should have some number of paragraphs. Don’t turn in one unparagraphed chunk of text. Please proofread your essay carefully. Surface level errors including problems with grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax will lower your grade. That said, keep in mind that your audience is your peers, your friends, so you are not being asked to write a formal academic essay unless you think that’s what will convince your peers, but I doubt it.
