For your final project, which is due in Module Seven, you will submit a brand recommendation presentation that communicates a brand idea. In that presentation, you will analyze the current state of the brand, its consumers, and its marketing strategies, and then you will make recommendations for improving branding at the local, national, and international levels, as appropriate.
For this first milestone, you will select a brand of interest in the sport industry to base your final brand recommendation on. You will also consider some key elements to begin thinking about the changes you may make to the brand throughout the project.

First, review the Final Project Guidelines and Rubric document and select a brand of interest in the sport industry to base your final brand recommendation on. Then, address the following critical elements in a two- to three-paragraph journal assignment:
Selection: Briefly describe the sport brand you have selected. What made you select this brand? Explain your reasoning.
Background/History: What type of organization manages the brand? Include a brief history of the brand.
Current State: Describe the current state of the brand. Is it currently a local, national, or global brand? Do you plan to change that? If so, how?
Changes: Do you think extensive changes are needed, or do you plan to make smaller modifications to the existing brand? Explain why or why not, and include any changes you would propose.
The instructor feedback you receive on this submission will inform your Milestone Two presentation (due in Module Five) and the final project presentation (due in Module Seven).
