Step 1: Visit your Group space. Go to your Group Team Chat space to make contact with your team.

Step 2: Complete an individual Research practice activity. This exercise refreshes our knowledge on how to properly cite and incorporate outside source material into our writing.

Step 3: Complete the PEEL Activity individually to prepare to write about your sources. You will use outside sources to support the statements in your short report. The PEEL Activity offers us a useful formula for writing strong paragraphs that include outside sources.

Step 4: Find sources to use to write your report. You can make notes and share what you find or any written drafts with your teammates in your Group space. Write at least one paragraph each that includes outside source material.

Step 5: Collaboratively write an introduction and conclusion around your research paragraphs. In your shared document, write an introduction that gives your audience an idea about the topic and finish the short report with a conclusion about important ideas to remember.

This team assignment focuses on building our research skills and synthesizing outside information with our own opinions.

In the last unit, you completed Steps 1 and 2. In this unit, you will complete the final three steps of the project, which prepare you to write strong paragraphs that include outside source material (PEEL Activity) and write an introduction and conclusion around those paragraphs to create a short report for VP Carol.
