These procedures are generally well tolerated and have minimal side effects such as pain or discomfort in the scalp and temporary headache. However, the symptoms reduced during the continuation of the therapy and stopped with standard analgesic treatment, which is not a motive for abandoning the therapy. The worst side effect is convulsion seizure, but it is rare. This therapy has contraindications, for example, clients with a personal or family history of seizures, personal or family history of epilepsy, and patients who have ferromagnetic or magnetic objects in the head and neck and a history of head injury (Wieczorek et al., 2021).
