Instructions Compile a technical report that covers research question(s) on a technical topic or application of your choice and demonstrates the technical communication skills you learned in the prior Lessons of the course. This report will be the source for your next assignment: Present a Board Level Technical Report. Your objective is to compile and present enough information to propose a technical application or process to explain (concepts, potential solutions, options) to a leadership board (CEO and Technical managers) for consideration. For this assignment, you must: • Compose a definition and description of a technical topic or application of your choice (you may use the topics from prior Lessons or do some research on available data sets before selecting your topic). • Select a data set that describes some type of technical process, product, application, or artifact of your interest (you may have already done so and used the data set for prior assignments). • Describe the industry and introduce the information to support your report. • Describe your intended organizational context, audience, and information needs. What is your communication goal? • Describe results and provide visual representations to highlight important facts. • If appropriate, use the budget principles from your previous course in finance to provide an estimate for cost-effectiveness and/or return on investment. • Justify your recommendations in the report and cite related supporting documentation. • Use technical design principles and industry standards where applicable. Be sure to include various tables, figures, and diagrams to support your technical report. Length: 8 to 10-page technical report, including tables, images, or diagrams (not including title page and references) References: 6 scholarly or industry-based sources. The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standard. Notes: Assignment will be submitted via Turnitin.
