 Patient is a 62 yo AAM who presents for medication management via telehealth. He has a CC of ” I was in the hospital because of seizures caused by withdrawals from xanax”. Of note patient has history of benzo abuse. He report he has been buying xanax off the streets after he ran out.He reports he does not want any other medication and only xanax works for him. Client was offered a different regimen but he declined.Review of crisp shows he last got a xanax prescription 02/01/2024. Support and psychoeducation provided. Follow up is scheduled as needed. Client stated he will come to the office on 4/11/24 to see his therapist and stated he does not follow up with medication management because it is only xanax that works for his anxiety.
