Teri, as the experienced HRM professional, assures Sarah that there will be plenty of challenges and opportunities for growth and helping the organization and all stakeholders moving forward.

From a dashboard to a scorecard, metrics to analytics, big data is a powerful tool that can create great insights that are invaluable to an organization. The HRM professional must consider the right data for decision making. While it is unlikely the HRM professional in the current environment will need to perform complex numerical calculations, they nonetheless must know what the numbers mean and how to get them. They must be able to effectively communicate the organization’s needs to vendors. Additionally, strong critical analysis skills and perspective are necessary to understand the data, make decisions and effectively convey recommendations to stakeholders.
