Toxic tours are a way to get community members aware of their neighborhoods’ environmental hazards. These tours can show how environmental racism and classism have impacted the community.
The environmental justice movement has offered toxic tours — non-commercial trips intended to highlight people and local pollution in efforts to create a new understanding of environmental justice and to increase participation in environmental decision-making process.

4. Select a neighborhood or community near where you live and learn about the different environmental clean-up types or potential sources of pollution in that area.
