Assignment 6.1: Identifying the Variables in Your PICO(T) and in Your EET
This assignment consists of a written paper (Word document) and an Evidence Table (Excel spreadsheet). The purpose of this assignment is to help you develop the skills that are necessary to evaluate evidence. Use the works you have previously submitted; Edit, improve, and respond to any feedback from your instructor. Compile a paper from the work you have submitted. Add a few sentences to this work to describe the variables in your PICO(T). This is an opportunity for you to improve your thoughts and receive feedback on the format of your paper. You may have refined or changed your PICO(T) since the last submission; it is OK if you still use the topic your instructor approved. Some of you may have found that the direction of the PICO(T) question changed after preliminary searching for evidence.
Evidence Evaluation Table (EET): Excel File
The purpose of completing this table is to organize and critique the evidence you find related to your clinical question. This week, you are to edit the past week’s work based on instructor feedback and add data in the significant variables column of the first three rows of the table. As directed, you will continue to complete columns and add rows to this table each week, culminating in at least 12 quality published works for your final synthesis paper in Week 13.
Use the Excel file with your EET that you created in previous assignments.
Keep your descriptions brief. There should be no complete sentences.
Complete column 8 (significant variables) for your three quality published works in the table you submitted last week regarding the levels of evidence.
