Then you can justify why you need to conduct your own research in this area. It is not enough to say there is strong international evidence in this topic but not in my own country. You would have to make a strong case why the culture/setting was so different that it would not apply. WHO often have global guidance too.We did not talk much about methods and approaches but be clear whether your study is purely quantitative, purely qualitative or whether it is mixed methods. If mixed methods then discuss the framework for this approach.Your research needs to develop new knowledge and have a theoretical framework. You need to be able to theorise for a PhD. The scale of the project needs to be manageable by you as a PhD student within three years.
