please read the task that I posted and read the example but don’t copy from the example. and I post my own graph to added to the report . TASKS:1. On the lab computer, locate and open the CE2000 software application, and load`exp6-1.ict’ le. Ask TA for the computer Username and Password. Connect theCE117 Control Panel as shown in Fig. 1 using the black and red colored cables locatedin the white small box. On the software, adjust the voltage to the proportional valve(a.k.a Valve Control) to 10 V (fully open). Analog signals will pass from the Analog-Digital-Analog (ADA) section to the valve and the pumps, and from the process vessellevel and temperature transmitters back to the ADA section.2. On the Control Panel (see Fig. 1), set the heater control to `Manual’ by moving themetal switch and adjust to full power by turning the black-colored knob clockwise. Setthe cooler fan to maximum speed by turning the black-colored knob clockwise. Setboth shiny metal pump switches to `External’. Close the loop bypass valve (wing nuton the Process Trainer panel), fully open the process vessel drain valve (red-colored ballvalve on the Process Trainer panel), and fully open the air vent (red-colored ball valveon the top of the Process Trainer panel) such that it is in-line with the pipe. Switchon the stirrer by moving the shiny metal switch on the Control Panel.Figure 1: Wiring diagram for control panel.3. On the right side of the Process Trainer Panel, turn ON the black-colored switch.4. On the software (see Fig. 2), the blocks titled `PID’ are three term controllers, onecontrols the heater loop pump (temperature control), the other controls the process looppump (level control). The proportional, integral and derivative values in the controllersare already set to:Proportional gain: 10Integral: 0.1Derivative: 0Conrm that the PID settings.5. On the software panel, there are two set points, one for the temperature of the processvessel, the other for the level of the process vessel. Run the software and adjust thetemperature set point to correspond to the temperature of the process vessel (3.0V), indicated by the TT5 display, this is the reference temperature. Adjust the levelset point to 7.5 V (the water in the process vessel must just cover the heat exchanger,so you may need to adjust the level set point slightly to achieve this). Hit Play/Run(blue colored) and Record (red colored) buttons on the software application.6. Read the TT5 and water level in the Process Vessel using the millimeter scale on itsFigure 2: Screenshot of the software panel.front.Figure 3: Units conversion.7. Increase the temperature set point so that it is 5C higher than the reference tem-perature. Refer to Fig. 3 for the voltage to temperature conversion of the temperatureFigure 4: Screenshot of a un-formatted result for your reference.transmitters. Note how long the process takes to adjust to the new heater tank tem-perature. Allow up to 10 minutes for the temperature to stabilize.8. Record the water level in the Process Vessel using the millimeter scale and temperatureTT5 using the software application. There should be very minimal change in themeasurement!9. Increase the level set point by 1 V and note how both control systems respond, thatis, what happens to the temperature TT5. The level control loop moves to the newdesired level. The temperature of the tank begins to drop, but the temperature controlloop responds and returns the temperature to the desired value.10. Increase the temperature set point by approximately 10% and note that only the tem-perature control loop responds (the temperature control does not inuence the temper-ature control loop). Allow 5 minutes for the temperature to stabilize.11. Your experiment is complete. Show the TA your data and get their OK.12. Stop the data recording on the software application.13. Now export your experiment data from the computer to your ash drive. Fig. 4 showsa screenshot of a un-formatted result for your reference! Before you export the graph, you must rst edit the graph using the software application. For this, go to Graph !Draw ! edit the graph using functions such as Autoscale, making x-, y- labels, andPlot title.14. Your data export is complete. Show the TA your data and get their OK.15. Make a schematic sketch of the experiment setup for your lab report and getyour TA approval.16. Turn OFF the Process Trainer switch, unplug the red/black-colored cables from theControl Panel, close the software application, and log out of the computer.17. Unplug the black-colored power cable from the wall (under the table).Questions1. Describe how a PID controller works in 8-10 sentences using a schematic sketch withexamples. You must answer the discussion question2. How does the response speed of the temperature control compare with level control? You must answer the discussion question
