Introduction
The United States is a country that prides itself on its freedom and democracy. However, having access to healthcare is something that many people don’t enjoy. In fact, over 29 million Americans suffer from not being able to afford proper healthcare coverage due to poverty or lack of adequate insurance coverage (1). This number continues to increase every year as more people become uninsured due mostly by employers cutting benefits because they can save money by not paying for them anymore than they already are doing so today (2).
This issue is important because healthcare is a basic right.
Healthcare is a basic human right. It should be available to everyone, and it should not be a privilege. Healthcare should be affordable and accessible, and it should be a priority in public policy. The right to healthcare must not be taken away from anyone because they don’t have enough money or insurance coverage or any other reason at all!
The right to healthcare is an issue that affects everyone, regardless of their political beliefs. Healthcare should be a basic human right for everyone in the United States.
Nurses have a unique perspective as they are in the front lines of healthcare
Nurses have a unique perspective as they are in the front lines of healthcare. They see the impact of healthcare access on a daily basis, and are in the best position to advocate for patients. Nurses understand that all people deserve quality care regardless of their circumstances or ability to pay.
As RNs, we must also be aware that we may be called upon to make decisions regarding how much access our patients have to care based on our knowledge of their situation, but also what’s best for each individual patient at that time and place.
What do nurses think about this?
As a frontline provider, nurses are in a unique position to advocate for healthcare as a right. They see what happens when people don’t have access to healthcare: they get sicker and more expensive to treat, leading to higher costs for everyone else. Nurses also see how access impacts the quality of life for patients and their families—and this makes them passionate about ensuring that all individuals have access to high-quality care no matter where they live or how much money they make.
Healthcare should be a right that everyone can access
Healthcare should be a right that everyone can access. This is an important concept to keep in mind when thinking about healthcare reform, because it means that no one should be denied access to health care services or treatment for any reason. Healthcare isn’t just something you get when you need it; it’s also something you deserve and deserve to have access to regardless of your economic status or ability to pay for it.
It’s important not only because we have an obligation as human beings but also because many people don’t have access even though they may need them most: infants born with congenital defects like hydrocephalus (water on top of their heads), cystic fibrosis patients who require ventilation equipment at night; elderly people who live alone without family nearby; homeless people who need shelter during winter storms…the list goes on!
What would the world look like if this weren’t true?
As an RN, you’re in a unique position to be able to help people access healthcare. If the law changed and people were no longer entitled to care, where would they go? What would happen if you couldn’t work because of health issues? What would it mean for your patients if they couldn’t see their doctors or go back home after being discharged from the hospital?
You can imagine how devastating this kind of situation could be for someone who needs access to preventative care or emergency room visits especially when those visits are required for survival. How many lives have been saved by vaccines? What about treatments like antibiotics or emergency surgeries? Without regular access, these things wouldn’t happen at all!
having access to healthcare is what makes all humans equal.
As a nurse, you are well-aware that healthcare is a basic right. Access to healthcare enables people to live healthy lives and contributes significantly to the economy, environment and society as a whole. Healthcare providers play an important role in this process by providing quality care that relieves suffering and improves quality of life for patients. Without access to adequate health services, people may experience long-term illness or disability which can lead to poverty or even death if left untreated.
Every human deserves to live a healthy, dignified life and this point of view should be reflected in public policy.
The right to healthcare is a basic human right. Nurses are in the front lines of healthcare, and they should be able to speak up about what they see. Nurses should be able to advocate for their patients and make sure that everyone has access to the care they need regardless of their ability or where they live.
Conclusion
The future of healthcare looks promising. More people are becoming aware of their rights, and the government is working hard to make sure that everyone has access. However, there is still much more work to be done when it comes to ensuring that every person has access to quality care when they need it most: in times of crisis or illness. Nurses can play an important role in making sure that happens by supporting patients through this process so they know what their rights are and how best to fight for them!
