The health care industry is facing a number of challenges today. These include the rising cost of providing care, higher demand for more personalized health care, and the need to address chronic disease in people at all stages of life. In response to these challenges, organizations have been developing innovative solutions that promote collaboration across departments within their organization as well as between different organizations or settings of care (such as hospitals).

Health care organizations need to collaborate more to come up with innovative solutions to these challenges.
Combating drug-resistant infections
Drug-resistant infections are a growing problem. They are not just in the hospital, they’re also in our communities and around the world.
In fact, more than 700,000 people die each year from drug-resistant infections – about 10% of all deaths worldwide. This is a huge problem for health care providers who have limited resources to treat these conditions and are often forced to rely on antibiotics that don’t work anymore due to bacteria developing resistance against them over time (that’s why we need new ones!).
Meeting the demand for more personalized health care
In order to meet the demand for more personalized health care, health care organizations must be able to coordinate their efforts across settings of care and providers.
