Develop a work breakdown structure (WBS) and project schedule for your project.
For this assignment, you will create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). To create your WBS, you may use MS Word, MS Excel, Visio, or any other visual format that allows for graphical elements to be included. (See Figure 4.4 from Chapter 4 of your Project Management: The Managerial Process textbook). Alternatively, you may use a coded format using MS Word. (See Exhibit 4.1 – Coding the WBS from Chapter 4 of your Project Management: The Managerial Process textbook as an example. The example is in MS Project format, but the same could be done in MS Excel).
Instructions
Each of the following should be included in your WBS submission:
- Create a WBS which contains graphical elements of the project scope including the project, major deliverables, and supporting deliverables. WBS should be easy to read and contain consistent formatting throughout.
- Create a depiction of the project within the WBS.
- One Level 1 is provided describing the complete project.
- Three Level 2s are provided describing major deliverables.
- Three Level 3s are provided describing supporting deliverables.
- Two Level 4s are provided with the lowest manageable responsibility level.
- For each of the identified deliverables (identified in the four levels from item #2), create a project schedule containing all activities from levels 1-4. Each activity should contain a start and end date and a list of resources required to complete the project.
- Provide a minimum of three pieces of information that need to be communicated to stakeholders. For each of the three pieces – which creates an example of a project network – you should address who will be targeted; when they will receive the communication; what will be communicated; and how it will be communicated.

Introduction
The purpose of this paper is to select and describe a project from different perspectives.
These include defining the start date and end date, having a defined and specific deliverable, and
a project that is associated with a series of activities that should be done to complete the project,
and requiring resources, materials, people, to complete the work.
Summary of the Project
According to Burke (2003), project management is an extremely important branch of
science that helps ensure that the desired objectives and goals get fulfilled on time in excellent
quality and a planned manner. Likewise, this project in consideration is associated with the
development of an online website for a clothing company. The website will first be launched only
in the US but over time it will be expanded to other geographies as well.
Project Goals and Objectives
According to Turner (2014), any project needs to have a well-defined set of goals and
specific objectives before it starts. Likewise, this project is also associated with three main goals
and three main objectives.
The three goals include:
To have a presence for the clothing company online by the end of February 2024
To have a popular website in the United States
To offer a variety of products to the online shoppers
The three objectives include:
To have at least 5,000 subscribers to the website by the end of December 2024
To have an excellent customer service and support team
To make the website a real and true shopping experience for our customers
Key Customers and Key Stakeholders
Every project or activity has a specific set of customers and stakeholders who are directly or
indirectly associated with the project (Burke, 2003). Likewise, the primary customers for the
development of the website include:
Shoppers and end users
Young adults and children
All those individuals who would rather shop online than go to the store
Also, the main stakeholders will include:
Company’s senior management and leadership
Financers
Media and publishers
PR agency
Timeline and Deadline
The timeline with main tasks and deadlines includes:
Finalisation of the project requirement – February 1, 2024
Development of a high-level structure – February 10, 2024
Finalisation of coding language and technical capabilities – February 21, 2024
Hiring and finalization of a development team – May 5, 2024
Start of the website development – May 15, 2024
Testing of the website – June 30, 2024
Launch of a beta version – July 15, 2024
Final launch of the website – July 30, 2024
Project’s Overall Cost and Resources
The estimated cost for the project will be at least 1000 dollars which includes the development of
the website as well as obtaining all the licenses and certificates for the launch. Other requirements
for the project include hiring the appropriate technical resources that could help with the
development of a website that will be both technically robust as well as something to look at.
Handling of Challenges
According to Burke (2003), every project comes with its own set of challenges and issues.
Similarly, the biggest challenge for this project includes finalizing the needs and requirements and
the extent of services to be included on the website. This challenge is planned to be resolved using
a precise approach, where everything that is needed and required will be looked over based on
experience and different trends in the clothing industry.
