Using all resources available to you, census information, driving through community, agency information, key informants, etc., describe at least one problem (i.e., substance abuse, mental health, homelessness, senior’s isolation, family issues, etc,) in the field placement community.
Create a list of community assets to address the identified need & to show other strengths of the community. In other words, prepare an asset map. Group the assets in categories, i.e., (institutions, individuals, environment, technology, etc.) Assets can be people, places and things.
