After completing the week’s readings and video presentation, you will write a brief comparison essay. The purpose of a comparison essay is not to state the obvious but to bring to light subtle differences or unexpected similarities on a subject.
Instructions
Compare and contrast two articles from this week’s readings and apply the concepts to a current event happening in a country/culture in the majority world. As a reminder, the majority world is the preferred term for non-western countries, usually classified as “developing countries” (countries in Africa, Asia, South, and Central America, and the Caribbean). Please note that the United States, Canada, the UK, and most of Europe are not considered majority-world countries.
Your name, course number, and section should be in the upper right corner of your document (do not place them in the header).
Your essay should be a minimum of 800 words but no more than 1200.
Include a word count at the bottom of the assignment. Please note that your name, course information, and footnotes do not count toward your word count.
Your essay should be in Times New Roman, 12-pt font, double-spaced, with 1” margins.
Remember to interact with the readings and the scriptures and include a minimum of two citations from our text. Turabian-style footnotes must be used when citing your sources.
