To make sure I have a full understanding of your topic, are you interested in perceptions of LGBTQ+ individuals regarding their experiences seeking social services such as housing, health care, and employment? If not, be sure to clarify.
Unfortunately, searching for literature will be one of the most time consuming activities that you will do. Remember, you are not only identifying what's been previously examined or explored and how, but also identifying potential gaps in the literature as well. It's definitely a good idea to keep a log of search terms as well as to use various combinations of search terms. Also, use the Reference list for articles that you plan to use to identify other relevant articles as well.

Great post! Your research and the similarities and differences between Black and African American healthcare disparities are an important contribution to the understanding of healthcare inequities and the LGBTQ+ community. Clearly, our work highlights the ongoing challenges and barriers that Black and African American individuals face in accessing quality healthcare, as well as the complex social, economic, and cultural factors that contribute to these disparities. By identifying these disparities and the underlying causes, your research has the potential to inform policy and practice aimed at addressing health equity.
In addition to my work on Black and African American healthcare disparities, your research on LGBTQ+ discrimination in jobs, housing, and healthcare is also important. The LGBTQ+ community has historically faced significant discrimination in many areas of life, including employment, housing, and healthcare. This discrimination can have profound effects on health and well-being, as individuals may avoid seeking healthcare out of fear of discrimination or may experience chronic stress related to discrimination.
Additionally, your research on LGBTQ+ discrimination in these areas is a valuable contribution to understanding the scope and impact of discrimination on this community. Therefore, your work can inform policy and practice aimed at reducing discrimination and promoting health equity for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

My area of research focus/dissertation topic is to determine whether LGBTQ+ individuals are subject to discrimination regarding employment, housing, and healthcare. I performed my research in the Walden Library; some things went well, while others went frustratingly. I was happy about the massive assistance I could get from the librarians who were familiar with the information I intended to acquire (Cossham & Johanson, 2018)—having a librarian to guide me into the materials I could use helped me narrow down my search area, saving me quality time and energy. I was satisfied with the number of materials and information I could find, which was a substantial amount of resources at no cost that I probably would not have known about or been able to pay for. Most of the research I found pertaining to my dissertation topic was from Google Scholar. One negative thing about my experience with this mode of research is the extensive amount of time I spent researching for materials and checking the information offered to ensure that it was relevant, peer-reviewed, and not outdated. I also had to use specific keywords to find the materials I was looking for. I will now keep a log of words that were a hit in finding the research I am looking for.
The research strategy that I used is literature analysis, where I analyzed the existing research studies that had been performed by other scholars (Bougie & Sekaran, 2019). This strategy provided me with up-to-date information about the subject matter and saved me time conducting research. One concern I have is that most of the research I found on my topic came from Google Scholar.
