Kath Jones, the General Manager of Marketing at Head Office of Bounce Fitness is very keen to increase the tangible outcomes for Bounce Fitness through the recruitment of clients from diverse backgrounds.
Kath has been the General Manager of Marketing for a short time; less than three months, but is concerned that the local managers of the Bounce Fitness centres were not committed sufficiently to the investment, time, leadership, and energy required to improve various dimensions of diversity and inclusion. The total number of women clients across the centres was less than 40% with a mere 6% being of an ethnically diverse proportion. Furthermore, the number of members who were older than 60 years of age she suspected was minimal. Added to this, there did not appear to be members who identified as being disabled or having any impairment. This was a grave concern as she felt that advertising and marketing strategies were targeting a certain sector of the community. Kath’s view was that the diverse backgrounds of the community should be reflected among the clientele across all the centres.
Kath aims to develop and design a client-centric approach by appointing a consultant to assist with individual centre managers in formulating a plan to create awareness and strategies in moving forward to increasing diversity and inclusion.

The purpose of the presentation is to incorporate ideas to celebrate the diverse nature of staff and clients, as well as increase client base. The presentation must include information relating to:
Research on positive aspects of a diverse and inclusive environment
Suggestions of least 2 inclusive practices that can be used
Methods of incorporating a range of possible diverse clients
Relevant legislative framework
Ways in which language used could reflect more inclusive communication and diversity can be celebrated in the Bounce Fitness centres
Promoting the value that can be added to the Bounce Fitness centres profitability by increasing diversity and inclusiveness
You will also need to draft the verbal presentation by including what would be said on each slide in the speaker notes.
