1000: A 10-years old school footballer was playing football when the coach noted that she became confused and diaphoretic. she had flu yesterday, so she took a leave but she arrived today as she was feeling better. she currently afebrile. She has history of type one diabetes and she mixed doses of insulin injection (70% NPH and 30% Regular). She has taken her morning dose at 0700 hours. her blood level increased yesterday, and she was feeling sick, so she took 2 extra doses of regular insulin. As per the healthcare provider’s prescription, her target morning blood glucose should be within the range of 70-120 mg/dl. her morning BGL was 115 mg/dl before breakfast.
