Your outline should address the important arguments to be made in your paper and a list of the observations that support those arguments. All of your arguments should directly support your thesis. Refer to your CoursePack for guides to writing effective thesis sentences and how to outline the structure of your paper.
An extremely basic outline format would be as follows:
INTRO: Thesis statement + information about the production
BODY PARAGRAPH 1: Cover one observation and relate it to your thesis statement
BODY PARAGRAPH 2 Cover another observation and relate it to your thesis
BODY PARAGRAPH 3 Cover a third observation and relate it to your thesis
CONCLUSION: Restate your Thesis + cover who you’d recommend this production for and why
We are flexible on the type of outline you choose for your paper; but assignments MUST be structured in some form of paper outline format. Please see the examples below or the video in this week’s module for examples of outline options. Your paper should include an Intro Paragraph with Thesis, at least Three Body Paragraphs, and a Conclusion which includes restating your thesis statement and covering who you would recommend this production to and why.
