Consider the known health concerns for your community (BREVARD COUNTY) to identify a target audience to educate about a health promotion or primary prevention topic that will prevent the underlying cause of the health concern from contributing to illness or death, in the first place. For example: the Promotion of Immunizations can reduce, eliminate, or maintain elimination of cases of vaccine-preventable diseases in children. Another example: the Prevention of Obesity can reduce one’s risk factors for development of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease in the adult population.

I have a family member that I am working with to help stay clean.  I feel this is a very important topic due to the rise in deaths in this area.

My target audience will be Addicts.  Primary prevention would be a Recovery House to assist with becoming and staying clean and off drugs and to educate about health promotion and prevention.
