Evaluate your own posture.
Evaluate your own posture. For the best view of anatomical landmarks, please: (a) wear shorts that fall above the knee (you can roll the waistband up if needed), (b) wear a sleeveless shirt or halter top, and (c) be barefoot. Have someone take a picture of you standing in your normal, resting posture from the front, side and rear. Please share this picture in your post and compare the front view to the ideal posture shown in this graphic.
Using the Table 21-1 in your text, what should you change? Why?
Did you notice any differences in your posture in the side or rear views? Explain.
2. Place a block under your left leg to simulate a short right leg. The block should be high enough that you can stand upright with the knee extended, but just barely so. Remain standing on the block for a couple minutes, then analyze the posture compared to the above graphic.
Describe what is different. How has the body adapted to this posture?
