Create and submit a slide-based presentation where you present your design for how a new company could incorporate HR analytics. Imagine that you have been hired by a start-up software company with 50 employees as the new HR Director. The CEO is very data-driven and wants you to implement a new system where analytics can be used to measure and improve the performance of the individuals and the organization as a whole. Integrating all that we have learned in this course, create a presentation that you would give to the CEO where you explain what metrics/analytical methods you plan to use, when, and how you will calculate the various metrics you decide. At a minimum, include 3-5 different ways you will use analytics to improve the organization. Use data and arguments to justify your decisions.
Present this information in a 7-10-minute slide-based presentation that utilizes your recorded voice. The presentation should not be directed to me (Dr. Crocco) but rather to the CEO. This means that your language and presentation should be professional and as if you were making this pitch. You should not use language like “I would propose to the CEO that…” Instead, you should say something like, “Thank you for inviting me to give this presentation on incorporating HR analytics into our company. Today, I’d like to share with you 3 ways I think we can use analytics to drive performance…”
To record the presentation, you can use a screen-capture program like Screencast-o-matic or record slides using Powerpoint or Keynote (Apple program). Then, export your presentation as an MP4 file and upload it to Youtube. When you submit this assignment, it should be in the form of a link to a Youtube video. This is because sharing large MP4 videos over Moodle or email is typically not possible. To aid you in this endeavor, I have provided you with instructional videos in the Module 6 Resource Book. I also discussed this in the Module 4 Virtual Office Hour (see Module 4).
