Why Stan Likes Shopping at Home Depot
Why Stan Likes Shopping at Home Depot
My husband, Stan, is a handyman, so he likes shopping at Home Depot very much. Whenever he wants to fix or renovate something at our house, he goes to Home Depot because the location is convenient, the prices are good, and the sales clerks are friendly and well informed. Two Home Depot stores are located very close to our house. Each one is only a short 10-minute drive from where we live. Moreover, the both stores have great hours. From Monday to Friday, the stores are open from 8 am to 10 pm. On Saturdays the stores open at 6 am and close at 8 pm.
On Sundays they open at 8 am and close at 8pm. These hours give Stan lots of opportunities to shop for items he may need. Moreover, Home Depot has a well established online site, so Stan can look for products any time he wants. Stan also likes Home Depot’s competitive prices.
Every week, Home Depot puts various kinds of items on sale. For example, last week Stan purchased ceramic tiles that cost only $ 16 per box. Furthermore, Home Depot offers price matching on regular priced items. If he finds an item for a cheaper price at a competitor’s store, Stan simply brings the competitor’s flyer to Home Depot. If the product is identical, the Home Depot clerk matches the price and gives Stan an additional 10% discount. Therefore, Stan is always confident that he has gotten the best price. Lastly, Stan likes the friendly staff because they can give him much information about the products and how to use them. For instance, last year a sales clerk told Stan to use a particular wall paint because it was fast drying and covered lots of wall space. Even though the paint was expensive, it worked very well, and Stan was happy with the advice. Sometimes, individual Home Depot stores offer information workshops for customers. Last year, Stan attended a workshop on how to wallpaper effectively. At the workshop, Stan learned how to effectively calculate the required amount of wallpaper and how to match patterns. In addition, the sales clerks keep the store neat and tidy. The shelves are always well stocked and the signs clearly describe the product. Sometimes, when Stan just wants to clear his head or look for new home renovation ideas, he goes to Home Depot and strolls up and down the aisles for an hour or two. As you can see, Stan does, indeed, enjoy shopping at Home Depot.
