This allows the readers to understand that the author of the poem is both lonely and isolated from the rest of the world. The reason that I chose this excerpt is that the cloud which is alone in this big and infinite sky represents the feeling of this poet in his life, how lonely he was. The second excerpt I chose followed the first one try, “When all at once I saw a crowd, a host, of golden daffodils”. (3, 4) This explains the crowd of flowers in the field which representing the opposite of the lonely cloud. The flowers are joyful and social unlike the lonely cloud, which can only watch from a distance because he cannot join them. Flowers are not alone and are a lot and together which is exactly opposite of the cloud and the poets feelings.
