 Interpret the correct authorities to ensure a lawful arrest in the following situation. Following, please explain the reasons for your selections, backed by reference to the Criminal Code or other legal authorities.

You are a front-line patrol officer dispatched to a robbery call at 11:03 AM at a local jewelry store. While you are there, you learn a suspect dressed in jeans, a grey jacket and black running shoes entered the store pointed a firearm at the sales staff and stole a quantity of merchandise valued at $ 6354.89.

You also learn the suspect ran through an adjacent park, and as you approach the area of the store you observe a similarly dressed male exit the park at 11:08 AM. You stop, approach the male, and he appears nervous.
