The California court system requires a “one-day-one-trial” jury duty obligation not more than once per year on its citizens. Obviously many of the citizens summoned to jury duty have family and/or work responsibilities, yet the website suggests that while a one-time postponement for seasonal workers might be granted, the employers are expected to accommodate the employee’s call to jury duty.
