A disproportionate percentage of young adults say the fast—food chain negatively impacts their community. 26% of young adults aged 18—34 said the company has a negative impact. Happy Feet has been struggling to find new customers over the past few years. There is no employee recognition for good work done. The morale is quite low and this makes productivity and trust levels low. The corporate head office at Happy Feet is very rigid. It does not connect with employees except to communicate the mission statement, which focuses exclusively on customer satisfaction. There is not mention of trying to create a healthy and supportive workplace environment for employees.
