A healthcare institution can deliver effective healthcare to all of its patients when it has solid and well-organized financial management policies.
This information can be useful for me, hypothetically, as the Chief Financial Officer in the planning, acquisition and utilization of resources to increase organizational efficacy. Financial efficiency of existing operations and future planning are the main responsibilities of the CFO in healthcare organizations. Planning and budgeting are two specific tasks that can successfully be utilized to carry out this role. As an example, I will utilize something as simple as a renovation. Though this does not require an uprooting of any policy or process, it does call for a strategy layout for the Finance department.
Unfortunately, I do not possess with substantial experience as a consumer in the health care financial field as the insurance that I fall under has covered every single diagnosis, treatment and medication without my direct involvement.
I would, however, appreciate my healthcare organization to continuously put patients’ health as well as financial concerns as the top priority.
