PCB 4674 FIU Extinction of Neanderthals & Proliferation HS Questions

I need support with this Science question so I can learn better.

The paper will summarize the evolutionary questions surrounding the topic. In some cases, there might be several mechanisms at play (i.e., genetic drift and inbreeding), but your paper must focus on only one.

What is the evolutionary mechanism? Natural selection.

So the paper will be on: How Natural Selection Caused The Extinction of Neanderthals and the Proliferation Homosapiens

ANSWER ONE OF THESE QUESTIONS BELOW:

1. How did people suspect such mechanism was at play?

2. Which hypotheses did they propose, and how did they test these Hypotheses?

3. What are the most recent findings, and what are some possible future directions regarding this?
