Political science: leadership in public sector
You select which candidate’s campaign to represent as campaign manager. As the campaign manager in a position of leadership, how will you guide/win this race for your candidate?
NOTE: the campaign for state representative race.
A dynamic, state representative candidate is running in a politically light red district trending purple. (You select the political party to represent and views to espouse). The demographics in this largely urban-suburban district are changing and more young people are moving into the area. The candidate’s opponent is a twice elected incumbent who is socially conservative and strongly believes in government de-regulation, low taxes. The non-incumbent candidate’s campaign is not well-financed with 5 months to go before the Nov. election and operating during a slowing pandemic. The incumbent has the advantage of money, name recognition, but vulnerable. The incumbent won by only 250 votes in the previous election. The race is on. Use course material to help guide your response.
