Knowledge transfer (KT) and knowledge exchange (KE) strategies are emerging as potential solutions to commonly encountered barriers to using evidence that are more capable of accommodating the particular challenges of healthcare systems (Kitson et al. 1998, Kitson 2009). The way to encourage knowledge exchanges is through factual information and sources. A lot of times within healthcare an individuals status allows them to ignore what is happening right in front of them. We sometimes face these challenges at work. Whereas to and individuals may not do your job of assisting others and the importance of a turn around time. So this leads to incomplete authorizations and task. For example, I had an incomplete authorization which was needed for a reprocessing of a service. I reached out to the manager who is over the authorizations she ignored me for 3 days. Our cases are on turn around times. But because she doesn’t do my work in healthcare and the authorization didn’t belong to her, or directly effect her. It wasn’t important. I had to then get my manager and director involved needless to say once the KE was completed the authorization was updated.
