Option 2: A young college student from your church has just returned home for the summer. You are talking to him after church one summer Sunday. The conversation is about school (he attends the state college nearby), his summer job (he is working at the local grocery store), and his classes (his favorite was a World Religions class). He mentions that the World Religions class really opened up his eyes and says: “You know, each person in my family has been a member at this church for a long time. It has been really important to all of us. I got saved in Mrs. Taylor’s third-grade Sunday School class, and Pastor Kevin did a lot to keep me interested in this church thing while I was in high school. But I have come to realize that there are plenty of other religions and ‘holy books,’ and they all say basically the same thing.
