For this assignment, you will write an extended definition, approximately 300-400 words long.  You will need to follow the principles in your book, including rules  for avoiding circular definitions and for avoiding when/where phrases.  You’ll need to start with a clear one-sentence definition that places  your term in a general class and then differentiates that term from  other items in that class. Then you’ll pick a few strategies from the  list in your textbook, based on which works best for your term.  For example, you might use principle of operation, negation, and an  image, while another student might use etymology, comparison, negation,  and partition. I expect you to use at least 2 separate strategies and to organize the definition so that the most helpful or useful strategies appear first.

You will need to pick a  term related to your field/career/major.
