The stakeholders involved in the providing care policy include the health insurance companies and healthcare providers. A coverage plan is provided for any surgery or medical procedure done on the patients. Some stakeholders are part of the American Hospital Association, which supports the society’s population in receiving Affordable healthcare.
Different perceived outcomes may result from the selected policy initiative. The providing care policy is anticipated to cause better healthcare response from the nurses and physicians and reduce costs of receiving services (Ellig & Fike, 2017). With the policy, the patients visiting the healthcare facility will not incur huge financial burdens to receive different services. The providing care policy ensures that the expertise patients need to receive care is available in the hospital. It also ensures the availability of the required resources for care provision (Ellig & Fike, 2017). The initiative is also expected to help deal with the increasing number of patients daily as they discharge members.
Providing care policy has cons and pros that affect the various stakeholders differently. Among the pros is assisting the patients to receive the right treatment. The health insurance firms who are the stakeholders are impacted by increasing coverage for Americans who receive affordable care in hospitals. The other pro that affects the medical professionals is that they improve the care provided to the patients and are more focused on preventing diseases and promoting quality healthcare (Ellig & Fike, 2017). The providing care policy that mostly affects the healthcare providers is that they have to stay longer in the hospital to provide care to the patients.
