Since fossil fuels are a non-renewable resource, heavily exploited with significant environmental impacts, many have begun the search for an alternative that may (one day) entirely replace fossil fuels.  After reviewing the Learning Content from Module 4, discuss the following:

How do you think Canada can switch their electricity to renewable sources over the next 50 years? How can we make this a profitable venture and what are the major liabilities and challenges in this transition?
Research and discuss 1 innovative alternative energy that you believe may be in our future. Be creative here and consider exploring some new avenues (i.e., besides solar, wind). Why do you think this could be the future of energy?
