In this activity, you will consider how your coursework has impacted your own philosophy of nursing and contributed to your personal and professional transformation. This reflection is a professional, yet personal, statement of why you think that being a nurse is important and the principles that guide your practice. You will be developing a valuable tool for sharing your values with potential employers or graduate school admissions officers.
In this week’s journal, you will:
Refine your previously submitted Sections I–IV (introduction, assumptions, theoretical foundations, and experiences) of your nursing philosophy and incorporate your instructor’s feedback.
Add Section V, the conclusion, to your nursing philosophy statement.
Please review the Reflection Journal Guidelines and Rubric document for specific requirements and guidelines for your journal assignments. Be sure to review the critical elements for your Philosophy of Nursing Statement, which is Component II of your final capstone project. For additional details, please refer to the Capstone Project Guidelines and Rubric document.
This document will be combined with your Change Proposal and the two will be submitted together in Module Seven. You should continue working on revisions to your Change Proposal in preparation for submission next week.
