Prompts for Reading Chapter 19 and Chapter 20

1. In Chapter 19, Thomas et al. (2019) point out numerous differences between qualitative and quantitative research. If you were about to conduct a qualitative study, what are the major differences between qualitative and quantitative research that you would need to keep in mind? (110-140 words)

2. Think of a study you would want to conduct or read about that would use observations as the data collection method. Describe the study topic and the setting in which you would observe. Then, based on what you read in Chapter 19, identify two specific ways that you would establish the trustworthiness of the observation data you collect. (110-140 words)

1. According to Elliott et al.
