As explained in Chapter 10 of Lunsford and Ruszkiewiczs Everythings An Argument, evaluations are everyday arguments from the clothes you choose to wear on any given day, sports teams we follow or which burger spot is the best. While these are considered informal evaluations, becoming a critical scholar demands a more nuanced, well supported and argued evaluation claim.
Writing Task:
Drawing on your inductive class analysis, as well as your own deductive analysis of Salvador Plascencias The People of Paper, write a 5-6 page evaluation claim essay arguing which theoretical approach (Marxist or Feminist) is best suited for analyzing the novel.
