Read Chapter 10 in your textbook and review the Chapter 10 learning activities. Next, answer the questions provided below in an essay format. Save your work in a Word document. Your essay response must include a minimum of 500 words (there is no maximum word limit).
Address each question in your essay response for full credit as each question is worth points, and write using complete sentences and paragraphs. Use the textbook for your source of information to answer all the questions. Your essay must include the correct information from the text with an intext citation (cite the textbook after you use the terms, stats, facts, words from the book in your sentence) to receive the points for that question. Any information brought in from outside sources, any other source then the textbook will disqualify your paper from grading and the paper will be returned with 0pts received. Cite the textbook in your writing according to APA format. Do not use MLA. Students can refer to the APA format assistance, guidelines sheet for writing essays in this course, and the SAMPLE STUDENT ESSAYS all provided in the Module with the Course Schedule (located under the Orientation module). Students are required to use APA format to cite their work.
Do not use bullet points in your essay. Write in complete sentences, using paragraphs (Introduction, Main discussion, Conclusion), and follow the APA format of double-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman font, with a Title Page and Reference page.
DO NOT write down the question on your essay. These are not short answer essay questions. These are all questions that can be discussed together and can flow in your paper form one answer to the next as one topic to the next your are presenting in your paper. It is to be 1 paper, not single answer paragraphs or short answers.
Do Not write down parts of the textbook word for word without using ” ” to indicate a direct quote and cite the book. If you use word for word of another person’s work it must by cited as a direct quote and have ” ” around the words. Failure to do this is plagiarism. DO NOT copy and paste sentences or use large amounts of exact wording from the text without using quotation marks – this is plagiarism, and your paper will receive a 0pts.
Be sure and write the source of the textbook on your Reference page according to APA format. Again, refer to the help I have included found in our Modules tab.

Explain how gender inequality contributes to abusive behavior. Discuss female rape myths and male rape myths. (5 pts)
Explain why people stay in abusive relationships and describe how one can leave an abusive relationship. (5 pts)
Explain the family factors AND the individual factors that are associated with domestic violence and abuse. Discuss the effects of partner abuse on victims and children AND discuss some of the methods that can help prevent abuse in relationships. (10 pts)
