You will present for an hour session. The audience includes all of the preschool, kindergarten, and first-grade teachers in the district. This is your time to shine and show your colleagues that you are a worthy recipient of this wonderful award.

Then, delve into the research on methods for achieving language development and language goals in young children through literature. Locate current and relevant information that will back your assertions. Discuss the topic within the poster in order to educate your audience. Include important aspects as related to professional development to help these teachers successfully begin the next school year.

Your poster should include:

• Recommended best practices for the classroom related to the subject of language development
• Recommended family involvement ideas and examples for your audience. 

Be creative with your layout, font, color, images, and data display so that your work is unique.

Length: 1 poster, 2-4 notes pages (although you will not present your poster, you are required to provide notes for talking points), not including title and reference pages
