The purpose of this assignment is for you to consider your personal ethical philosophy as it relates to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. After reading the assigned readings and viewings for Module 1, write a brief (1 page, double spaced) statement, addressing each of the following topic areas:

• The importance of ethical guidelines in ABA, specific to the treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities (if a you work or plan to work in another field of ABA, that population may be considered in lieu of DD). This statement should reflect on the history of the field, regardless of the area or subfield of ABA you are presently working in or plan to go into.
• Personal experience with ethical issues or concerns. This section should include any instance in which a potential ethical issue arose, professionally, and how it was resolved. If you have not experienced an ethical issue, to your knowledge, you may simply write a statement that, to date, you have not come into contact with any ethical issues.
• How you would handle an ethical issue, should it arise, in your current or future career.
