Again, you need to answer any two of the discussion questions below. You can just make one posting. Discussion questions for Module 3:
1. Discuss a scenario in which an organization you know or someone you know (i.e., you can hide yourself or your employer) has ended up with a suboptimal decision because of some of the ten barriers listed in Exhibit 6.2 (plunging in, frame blindness, lack of frame control, etc.).
2. Assess the capacity utilization of a process you know (preferably in the health care industry).
3. Think of a research question that can be solved by collecting relevant data and conducting quantitative analysis in an organization you know. You need to identify the dependent variable and the independent variable(s).
4. Describe a quality/process improvement project that you are familiar with. Discuss the issue that the project aimed to address, the quality/performance before and after the intervention, and lessons learned.
5. The link below provides the quality of care data for all VA Medical Centers (VAMCs).

Select a VAMC of interest, identify one quality or efficiency gap (copy and paste the facility name, measure values in the submission), and offer some brief recommendations for improvement.
